I'm a Closet Geek

So, most of us have something we "geek" about. Like sports, movies, games, fashion, and so on. I geek about lots of things, but sometimes I get embarrassed by how much I am invested in some of the things I like. (I can't tell you how many secret boards I have on Pinterest with geeky stuff that I am too self-consious about to share with everyone.) There are people out there who wear their obsessions loud and proud, but alas, I am not one of those brave souls. So, most of the time, I obsess and fangirl about these things alone (unless my best friend also likes said thing).

Not all things I like have to be hidden in the secret side of Pinterest though. For instance, I can openly proclaim I love Star Wars, and hardly anyone looks at me like I'm nuts. I know, I know, I shouldn't care what other people think, but there's something about sharing the things you like with those around you. Still, everyone is different, and you know, that's okay. I mean life would be completely boring if all of us where exactly the same, because then there wouldn't be cool stuff to geek about in the first place.

Yes this is me "Hello Internetland" *waves*

Maybe as time goes on I will become braver and be able to share the things I "geek" with more people. But for now, sending my thoughts out in the internet void is good. Who knows, I am probably not the only one who thinks about this kind of stuff.
